Concerts in Eindhoven last December
•February 8, 2010 • Leave a CommentIan Watt and I also gave a recital in Eindhoven, in the Phillips Hall, in mid December on the weekend after our return to China. The programme was basically the same one given in China, and again it seemed to be a success, so we were pleased with how it went. We will return in April to perform 3 times in different spots, and give a class or two in a local school. More details of this will be put up later.
China visit ‘09
•February 3, 2010 • Leave a CommentI visited China in December last year, playing a couple of concerts (One in the Ni-er hall, and one in the Schezuan Conservatory Concert Hall) in the Schezuan. It was with a colleague of mine, Ian Watt – we sometimes play duets together, and the Academy wanted us to go and play so people could perhaps understand a little more about what it’s like. We played a programme of Giuliani, Piazzolla, Bach, Rodrigo and Albeniz, and it was very well received.
They were really hospitable as well, we were always being taken out for meals and things like this (and the food was incredible).
Anyway, my Mum found me on a Chinese website – I’ve only been able to understand a little from the translate option on Google, but here’s the link.
